Apprenticeship Schemes

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, has recently implemented key reforms to the Apprentices Act, 1961, with the objective of simplifying and streamlining the process for industries to engage apprentices. In a move to further accelerate apprenticeship training nationwide, MSDE introduced the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). This forward-looking initiative not only offers financial incentives to organizations for hiring and training apprentices but also empowers businesses to build a robust pipeline of skilled talent. By nurturing hands-on learning across various sectors, NAPS plays a vital role in addressing long-term workforce needs and enhancing the employability of India's youth.
